Since June 2024, FAPMO acquired a facility specializing in the design and manufacture of motors, enabling it to offer motorized pumps to all its clients.

Within the BE and R&D department, based in Outreau (62), and reporting directly to General Management, as Technical Director, your responsibilities will include the following within a small-sized entity:

  • Define, organize, and coordinate the activities of the BE and R&D teams at our two sites (Outreau-62 and Coueron-44).
  • Ensure product design, development, and improvements.
  • Validate the technical feasibility of client requests with the sales department.
  • Ensure the capitalization of technical know-how.
  • Supervise product testing and experimentation in collaboration with the Test Station Manager.
  • Support product production launches.
  • Supervise, validate, and coordinate studies and oversee their implementation.
  • Provide technical support, including in the subcontracting domain, to related departments (sales, purchasing, production, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with current standards and methods in line with the entity’s quality policy.
  • Help maintain links and coordination of projects with all concerned departments.
  • Apply technical expertise in managing client complaints, disputes, and/or non-compliance issues.
  • Develop technical and organizational solutions, lead optimization projects for continuous improvement, and participate in cross-functional tasks to enhance the entity’s efficiency.
  • Ensure reporting to General Management.
  • Guarantee project progress by defining means, methods, and techniques for the utilization and implementation of research results.
  • Support the company’s transformation plan by managing its technical aspect, particularly through design and cost-reduction projects.

You are responsible for study timelines, design costs, and the quality of projects, aiming to optimize the company’s value while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Required Profile:

  • Education: Master’s degree (Bac +5) in mechanics, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, and/or acoustics.
  • Skills: 7 to 10 years for an engineering level in the industrial sector (e.g., metallurgy, steel industry, welding, mechanics). Able to understand and master transformation and assembly processes for special machinery with a focus on continuous improvement. Excellent command of product industrialization methods and complex projects.
  • Soft Skills: Rigor and Organization are the two pillars of your work methodology. Strong analytical and synthesis skills for various situations. Cross-functional teamwork enables you to work in project mode. With excellent interpersonal skills, you are a true communicator with a preference for fieldwork, demonstrating a positive and supportive approach.
  • Other Skills: Minimum technical or professional English, knowledge and experience with an ERP system, proficiency in MS Office, and R&D and BE software. Capable of creating and managing budgets.

Contract: Permanent full-time position on-site, with travel to our various sites and client locations.

Salary: Between €58,200 and €70,200 gross per year + 13th month + Vacation Bonuses + Saint Eloi Bonus + Variable of 12 to 15%.

Occasional remote work possible after 6 months of service.
